Cask @ The Bree Louise in the company of TimE. Copper with an off white head. Slight grassy hops, bready malts and caramel in the aroma. Taste is much the same, quite characteristic of Nethergate, some nice grassy hop notes but ultimately too sweet for my liking.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2010 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Complicated wet dog malt aroma with sweetness and sourness both present. Some peachy fruitiness in the taste, and some underlying breadiness. Some bitterness in the finish. No. it’s nectarine rather than peach.10.6.10 Cask at Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford. Warm malty aroma and taste. A little fruity sourness. Mid bitter finish. Good ordinary bitter. Rated: 6,4,6,4,12:3.2

Cask at the Carousel Lounge, Hythe, Kent. Chestnut brown with a foamy white head; sour autumn fruit aroma; fruity malt flavours, again slightly sour; the finish is slow to develop and tartly bitter. A pleasing bitter.

Aroma slightly sulphur, however a malt character takes hold after a while. Taste is lightly fruity malts with some grassy hops kind of canceling it out a bit, some sort of burnt liquice in here too.
