3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Weak aroma. Looks good though, dark with a creamy-beige head. Light taste of roasted malt, slightly watery palate. Very drinkable as you’d expect from a mild. Decent overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in May 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear ruby red in colour with a thin buff head. Roast malt and then sweet winegums in the short aroma. Thin watery mouthfeel and poor lacing. Mixed malts give sweet fruit flavours of redcurrant and grape. A dry woody note present in the short bitter aftertaste. Finish is sweet with a strong vinous edge. An ok session mild.

Milky roast. Fairly solid, but the lacticity built up and detractoed from teh taste eventually. Pretty OK, I guess.
