Cask - The Glass House (JDW), Norwich. Poured with a small, creamy & lasting biege head depositing a uniform set of lacework atop a ruddy dark brown body. Raisin and roasted malt aromas. Traces of coffee, plenty of dark fruit, roasted malt and a bit of powdery chocolate on th palate. Medium body, good texture with a lingering dry coffee-ish & roasted malt finish.

On tap at the Crosse Keys spoons during the winter fest but not part of the fest. Clear dark brown beer, small but perisitent light tan head. Smooth dry palate, low carbonation. Darkish malt, traces of nuts and a whispers of smoke and cream. Some orangey hop - pleasantly sweet to start with and then turning bitter through teh dry finish for a lingering bitter aftertaste. Quite a full on beer, perhaps a tad too bitter.
