2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Olde Dog, Herongate. This beer pours a dark gold / amber colour with a light ’soap-bubble’ head. There is a light, malty straw-like aroma with a little grapefruit apparent. Thin and a little astringent on the palate, there is a sharp lemon / lime cordial taste with a touch of grassiness following afterwards. The lime cordial comes back in the brief aftertaste leaving a little citrus tartness in the mouth. A very good and very drinkable low alcohol effort.

Cask (Maypole, Cambridge)
Typical Nethergate mashy aroma. Simple bitter taste, hinting towards resiny and a bit astringent. Full for a 2.8% beer. Smooth palate, nice carbonation. Surprisingly good.
