Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
The addition of coriander to the Old Growler wort completes the original 1750s recipe for this distinctive dark beer. The powerful spiciness only adds to this porter's appeal.

Cask at the Regal BF in Cambridge. This is a very interesting ale. You would expect this kind of spiciness in a witbier, not an English ale. Dark caramel color, nice spicy aroma. Taste is of coffee. Noticeable spicy, you can taste the coriander. Peppery in the mouth. Long bitter finish. Quite interesting and good.

Cask. Low fluffy yellow lasting head. Very dark read almost black body. Mild berries aroma with a bit of coffee. Dry roasted malt flavor with herbal notes and a bit of coffee. Low carbonation, long aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 08. Dark brown and still, this has an intense coriander aroma, which is carried through the flavour, right to the dry finish. A unique brew.

[Gravity cask at beer festival at the Retreat, Reading] Deep pinky-black. Coriander spice dominates totally and utterly. Quite sweet, with a dry, slightly smokey finish. Coriander lingers for a long time afterwards.
