DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours deep gold with fluffy 3-finger white head. Nose is honey, pale malt, hopcitrus, and some thiols. Tastes better than it smells, with honey, pale malt, mild hopcitrus, some corny caro syrupy notes. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Sep 5, 2008 This is a very nice pilsner. It is gold with a big white head slowly shrinking to a wispy top and hint of lace. The aroma isvery nive, with honey, flowery grain, bread crust, herbs and a hint of citrus. The taste is a bit light and not overly hoppy but nice, flavourful, and well-rounded with hay, herbs, bread, flowers. Overall, it tends to remind me more of a Czech-style rather than a German pilsner due to the greater range of body and flavours and the weaker hop character. PilsnerPeter (1477), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 5, 2008 Bottle: Slightly hazy light golden pour with a fluffy white head. The aroma has some biscuity pilsner malt, light dough and peppery/straw hop notes. Mild carbonation in the light body. Flavor is simple with a dried biscuity pilsner malt base. A bit seedy with light sweet bread and a grassy hop character in the finish. Simple, but decent. Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 13, 2008 From a bottle purchased at Belmont Station--Poured a mostly clear straw golden body with a mild creamy white head. Sweet, Hallertau hops biting, crisp refreshing pils body. Like other reviewer said: "pronounced hoppiness" is a valid description. Mild skunkiness and creamy, flavorful finish. kappldav123 (1070), Markkleeberg, Germany Aug 12, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Very zippy, very much foam. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Starts spicy and modest malty, the finish is like wheat. Very drinkable and good beer!
