Pale lager with a nasty sourish aftertaste. Not sour in the good way, but in a metallic way. Blech.

Bierkrug (2133) - - JAN 11, 2012
330 ml bottle picked up at Maruhn in Darmstadt, Germany. Pours a clear pale yellow color.with soft fast to go white head. Grassy, old vegies and skunky aroma. Taste is a weak, but malty flavor, strange old dusty taste. Low bitterness but not very nice. Very faint aftertaste of old compost. Blah why?

bartlebier (1718) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - APR 15, 2014
33cl bottle from Alnatura, the ideal stable for macho metaphors about pale lagers as sexy true blondes. Pours a watery hay golden, nose of eggwhite and cornflakes. Tastes as natural and wholesome as diluted crispy cereals spiced with a minor helping of hops would, but lacks a bit of yeast/true beer character, even as a lager.

So apparently this is a "bio" beer, since I found it in a biologically-friendly shop in Paris! Pours with huge head, perfect yellow body. Aroma of almost entirely hops. The taste is a smooth mix of bread and hops, as well as a smooth finish. Pretty good, though not entirely exciting.

Heavy malty aroma. Small frothy white head. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Clear yellow body. Moderate bitter and malty flavor. Light to medium palate.

thirstyrabbit (1102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 1, 2011
Bottle. Looks as it does on the photo. Weak grainy aroma. Smooth palate, very neutral. It’s clean but boring. And boring beer should not cost this much.

Clear yellow golden color with small head. Grainy malty lager. Nothing special here...

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2005
Bottled. Pale yellow colour.Medium, though quickly diminishing head. Skunky, grassy aroma. Terrible, skunky taste. Besides the skunkiness, bland, watery with no finish to speak of. Terrible. I´d rather drink a MGD.
