Bottled 33cl. It pours a murky greyish orange beer with a tall head. Banana, hemp, melon and yeast in the nose. Sweet taste with a lot of melon, banana and coriander showing up. Sweet, yeasty, faintly acidic. Good lacework. Reminiscent of a Belgian Wit. Fruity yeasty finish. Very refreshing.

sehr interessantes Bier, ungewöhnlich durch das verwendete Getreide. Schöne Flasche. Geschmacklich tendiert es Richtung dunkles Hefeweizen. BTO 12/2005

Bottle (from beerangel.de). Hazy goldenish orange colour with huge foamy white head, leaves some lace. Aroma is kind of cooked vegetables meeting caramel and mild fruityness. Also some slight wheatlike notes. Flavour is sweetish sour fruits mixed with cooked vegetables. Also some mild bananaish hints. Pleasant. Very smooth carbonation.

[bottle] Clovey aroma with a refreshing spelt sourness and a hint of caramel. Hazy orange-dark yellow with a lacy, but not lasting, white cover. Cloves and sour spelt flavour with a touch of banana and base malt. Slightly powdery with a nice balance of sweet and sour. Very low bitterness. Hops come off as citrusy corriander. Medium body, medium carbonation, lasting spicy herb and sourness.

Like a weizen in basic appearance and presentation. A bit light in taste but spelt is essentially wheat, hence the ale represents Hefeweizen more or less. Lightly spicy and fruity with nice citric overtones. Good effort with unusual main ingredient.

Bottle green, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours orangy to light brown, water with honey like, very cloudy, thick and full bodied, like milky amber, carbonation is very mild, some micro bubbles are creating natural effervescence of the beer without any additional carbon dioxide, full bodied, head is small, milky white, like fresh milk, decreasing to a minimal but still firm and not diminishing, there is slight lacing.
Aroma: Aroma reminds me of Witbier or German Heffe - Weizen and than I can distinguish some notes of kvas but all in all aroma is well balanced, mild, milky - creamy like with slightly aromatic sweet fruity accent, a hint of white bread and banana, all in all very mild aroma, some notes of wheat, clover, aromatic hops.
Flavour: Wheat, banana, refreshing, some clover, slightly aromatic, mineral water, yeast, dinkel, reminding Witbier or German Heffe - Weizen but less carbonated, very nice flavour, milky, smooth.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is smooth between wattery and creamy, some saltyness, dough, milk, whipped cream, barley grains. Finish feel is aromatic, clean a bit metalic, no chalkyness.
