COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English label: Made only from natural mineral water, organic dark barley malt, organic whole hops, yeast, natural carbonation.

Smells a little like old lager. Nice brown color, on the lighter side. A little bitter at first but then you notice the mildness after a while. Yes, does not hide alky well. Malty doughy finish. Not as well mannered as I like my dunkels to behave.

skoisirius (1580) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUN 6, 2012
Bottle picked up in Grass Valley, CA. Slight banana nose, not much else. Malty sweet flavors, hints of a bit of licorice spice. Yeasty in the middle. Bits of hop toward the finish, and there’s not a huge one. Decent enough, but wouldn’t seek out again at all.

Fazit: Ok, interessant! Test vom 12.4.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,10,6,10,10,9 - 8,90

330ml bottle. Caramel and liquorice aromas. Pours dark amber, cloudy, with some white head, quickly vanishing, no lacing.Light to medium body and average carbonation. Taste is malty, sweet, some spicy. Enjoyable, but not remarkable.

edpeg (806) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 10, 2012
Pours dark brown with reddish hue with off-white rocky lacing head. Aromas are sweet malts, licorice. Palate is slick medium bodied, with medium soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Taste is roasty, sweet and malty. Aftertaste sweet malts and medium short dry finish with little bitterness and plums fruitiness. Overall light textured dunkel with crispy mouthfeel. Quite drinkable.

Scrapersnbeer (1466) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 25, 2012
Aroma of pecans, walnuts and brown sugar. Lighter nearly opaque brown color. Flavor matches the aroma, while adding some caramel to the mix. Perhaps a bit over sweet, this is distinctly drinkable. I didn’t care for Lammsbrau pils, and tried this only per recommendation of a local beer guru. And just like that, the brewer is redeemed - sort of.

From the 11.2 fl. oz. US bottle marked 11:04...B26. The pour is an attractive dark amber with a full, fluffy head that settles down after several moments. The aroma is alive with sweet caramel malts with a German nutty character. The body is medium. The taste is incredibly sweet. Enjoyable.
