Good dunkel beer overall. Pours hazy dark brown with tan head. Nutty sweet flavor. The only problem is that there is a rather abrupt finish... i’m not left with a lasting flavor after the beer is done.

Grainy wood, pecan, and kibble nose, trace maple syrup sweetness. Clear brown, medium yellow head. Pleasantly sweet kibble flavor, honey. Medium-light body, easy carbonation. Very sessionable, probably good with roast beef.

Year old beer bought in Germany last summer. Pours slight hazy reddy brown. Aroma malt and prunes. Tastes similar. Quite light tasting compared to other dunkles I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear nutty brownish amber, under a thin off white lacey head. Nose features some earthy toffee and earthy toasted biscuit. Sweet and charmingly nutty flavour with some earthiness, light toasted wheat, and a bit of dark toffee lager tones.

Pailhead (5097) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of roasted nuts, light caramel, hints of toffee, and fruit. It pours a transparent copper with a large creamy khaki head that has great retention and leaves behind a lot of soapy lacing. The flavor starts with some light caramel and chocolate flavors. The finish has some light roasted nuttiness and faint dusty notes. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Murky light amber / copper pour with a small soapy head. Nice aroma of caramel, light fruit, ripe banana. Medium to lighter palate, light caramel malts. Not bad.
