COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A very slight yellow beer, but a little bit cloudy. In the aroma’s are the hints of grain. A very bitter taste, but nice for a beer. Not much of an aftertaste.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2014 Bottle (from Rewe Freising), on the train from Regensburg to Schwanndorf, Bamberg post Xmas jolly day 1 - 24/01/14. Almost clear pale blonde with a modest white covering that retains. Nose is grass, citrus fruits, faint spice, pale malts, cereals. Taste comprises lemon rind, bread dough, hay, earthy. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair.

Bamberg Bash, Day 1. Train bottle swig. Light hazy pale gold beer. Palate is light and crispy. Herby lemon, slight bitterness. Light dry finish. Was half expecting this to be crap, pleasantly surprised!

Bottle on a train during Jolly to Bamberg 2014. Clear pale golden beer, rich white head. Hoppy grassy aroma, wort, quite bad. Malty wort flavor, grainy, quite boring.

Labeled "Pure Lager - Crafted to remove Gluten", orange label, European pint bottle. Clear, light gold, white head. Slightly skunked, peanut butter and jelly aroma. Stereotypical eurolager flavors right up front, gives way to astringency. Bleh. Finishes out with a malt liquor body - undercarbonated and under hopped ending in tin. New Leaf Market.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 500 ml bottle - labeled as "Pure Lager crafted to remove Gluten". Pours a sparkling light golden with a slightly frothy snow white head that leaves a far trace of lacing. Aroma has a trace of skunk, some grassiness, a touch of wort. Flavor has some faint grainy notes, some light wort like essence, a touch of light corn. Mouthfeel does not have that lingering aftertaste that some gluten frees tend to have. One of the more decent gluten frees I have had.
