4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.
Looks: Clear light golden honey colour; One and a half finger head and crumpet white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Moderate sticky lacing and fizzy carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant Pilsener malt, with honey, floral, light orange, strong bread, dough, very light lemon and light grass.
Taste: Mid to light sweet full malt, with honey, molasses, flower pedals, thick bread, dough, yeast, lemon, astringent bitter hops and grass.
Body: Close to light. Slick palate.
Mouth Feel: Refreshing and dynamically hoppy German Pils. Very malty, taste and smell nice in a moderate body. Well-tuned sweetness of honey, molasses with neat floral favours. Tasty thick white bread and dough. Nice meal in a mug!
Hoppiness: Nice light orange, floral nectar, lemon and light grass nose. Light lemon, petals, hops and light grass in taste. Bitterness is moderate and dynamic, stretching it out for nice astringent taste as time went by for a long lasting light bitter finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry; Hoppy and light sweet to mouth.
Comments: I am glad I picked this one for my #700 review - It’s Pils-hoppy but in a light, tasty, aromatic and seductive fashion. Coupled with thick malts and great-tasting and well-defined floral sweetness, this is a treat well worth sessioning. Lovely Pils!

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours a bit hazy with some micro sediment floatingin the body surface, body colour is bright golden, carbonarion visually is gentle, head is initially small, frothy, slowly decreases to minimal, slightly off - white, rather no lacing.
Aroma: Graphite, some gentle accidity, mineral nose, chalkyness, maltyness is hidden somewhere at the background and mainly dominated by herbal hoppyness, a bit hars but not as aromatic as in ’Hacker - Pschorr Pilsener’. A bit milky with some interesting nutty - woody hints, earthy, soily hops.
Flavour: Earthy hoppy nose, soil comes at front, than comes nicely pronounced bitterness on palate with still existant aromatic nose and decent grainy aftertaste, very well balanced between all the ingredients. A traditional, pure Classic German Pilsener being brewer according to the unchanged, old, traditional receipe. Some notes of cardboard and paper, dustyness and soilyness, saltyness dur to hops and carbon dioxide, barley grains. Sharp bitterness strenghting itself coming towards finish. Finish duration is very long, citruses, lemon, grapefruit.
Palate: Body is light, texture is very dry with sharp hoppy bitterness, finish feel is chalky, grainy, dusty, dry.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2013 Clean and fresh Noble hops accentuate this excellent session beer. This beer pours a nice frothy head, and releases a pleasing Noble aroma with just a subtle hint of malt. The finish is slightly spicy, and almost a touch lemony, but it is quite smooth nonetheless. Pleasantly grassy and straw make up the middle notes. I re-rated this fine beer after having it most weekends this summer. It is THE best pilsner I have ever had. Just excellent and fresh and perfectly brewed. Just an outstanding pilsner and THE one that American micros should strive to duplicate. One of my all-time three favorite beers.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2014 Flasche aus einem Öko-Supermarkt in Berlin. - Strohgelb, klar.
