3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Different bottle than the one shown - mine had the long skinny neck (American version?). The hop level is just right for a pils. Light bodied & made only with pale malts. It’s not sweet at all, which is a very good thing. Grassy, a little aromatic, some spruce and hay.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy yellow with good carbonation. Aroma is of a European pilsner, nice! Taste is a mix of hops and malt, with good hop bittering on the back side. Nice mouth feel.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pale golden straw color with a frothy looking head that pours an initial 2 fingers high. Smells of lightly spicy and clean grassy hops with soda-cracker-like pils malt undertone. Taste is more balanced that I would have guessed from the nose. The initial bitterness from the hops is almost immediately supported by a soft biscuity malt that smooths the bitter edge into a dry crispness. Has one of those dry but quenching finishes that makes me want to take another drink immediately after the last drink.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 0.5l. Medium white head, not so much lacing. Aroma of lime, grass, malt, little metallic. In flavour there is mostly malt character with some toast and honey notes. In aftertaste grass and spices. Crisp. Light to medium body. Really good german style pilsner.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A very delicate Pils. Clear blond color, massive foam and lacing. Nice malt flavor and a strong hop character without being bitter or too aromatic. I am not really into "organic" food and beverage, but if this is organic as well, all the better. Everything has been done right here, you could drink this all day. True German Pilsner is a style which is very hard to do right. In the US, everybody over hops and over caramel malts their Pils. In Germany, the tendency has been toward less characteristic Pils in the last several years, you can hardly tell one from another. Lammsbräu is doing it right. If you are into this beer style, then get a fresh batch of this. It blows Beck´s, Warsteiner, Bitburger, König and all the rest of the mass marketed German Pils out of the water. Worth every extra penny that it costs!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours clear and golden with a stable off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Tastes malty, then a bit like fruit and then comes a little bitterness. Medium carbonation. All in all a very decent southern German Pils.
