2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 drowland (4999) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2013
11/10/10. 12oz bottle labeled "Lammsbrau Organic Pilsner." Sweet citrusy and big skunky aroma. Sweet grainy pilsner malt flavor with tons of grass and hay... meh.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Husky and grainy malts, with a light sweetness and low bitterness. Decent.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 crossovert (4760) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 6, 2011
11.2 oz oddly-shaped green bottle, organic.
Pours a hazy gold, appears to be unfiltered. It has a fluffy white head that leaves lots of lacing.
The smell is earthy baked bread all the way. Im not smelling much variance form the hops besides straight up earth and a bit of cat urine. It isn’t a skunky urine smell either. It is reminiscent of American pilseners.
The taste is decent. The hops are super earthy and floral and they dominate the taste with an underlying bread tone. There is not much bitterness, only a subtle kiss.
It is interesting, the hops seem very american and they caught me off guard. They aren’t super bitter but very key to the flavor, usually a German pilsener is a perfect combo of malt and hops, this one is a bit more skewed, and not in the best way but an acceptable way. It is like a better version of Prima Pils.

Bottle by 06.06.12. Lots of hay in the nose, pours clear golden with a soapy white head. Taste is surprisingly bitter, medium body is crisp with a light hint of metal, otherwise clean. Sparkles, has decent hop character and water that allows those hops to kick up.

Very hazy golden coloured body with a one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of pale malt, flowers, light hops, a hint of sugar and a nice fruity and citrus smell. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal malts with a little hoppiness, some light sugars, a bit of spice and a dry finish. Aftertaste shows mostly malt, but a nice balance of lighter hops and some citrus. Overall, a very nice beer with a great mild flavour, but still showing some fresh flavours - all without bitterness. I sampled this stubby (german style) 33 cL bottle purchased from Old Europe restaurant in Washington, DC for US$6.00 today on 23-March-2013.

500 ml bottle. A bit hazy orange, golden body with a small disappearing white head. Aroma is very fruity, like citrus, with malt and some hops. Flavor is refreshing fruity, a soft maltyness, hints of yeast and a balanced bitterness. Long, nice finish with hints of orange. A well made pilsner.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 cheap (3408) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2012
From a funny shaped green bottle with a date code 87:39..B26. When I popped the lid it gushed all over the place, never expected that for apilsner. Pour looks like lemon ade, hazy. And there is this big head that never fades bt just goes craggy. Is a little veggie on the aroma, but mostly sterile metal. Taste is not bad, fairly laid back attitude on the alky but there is still enough bitterness inthere to let you know it is pilsner. Yes, every pour is this giant head and I must say, it is pretty attractive looking. Relaxed and gentleman like on the taste buds, almost comes across like a slightly bitter hefe. As the session continues there is this constantly building pilsner attitude that grows right up to the finish. Good overall beer rating experience, not bad and better than the average beer.

Location: 330 ml bottle at NY Terps Event, 6/7/12, as Neumarkter Lammsbräu Organic Pilsner
Aroma: The nose is pretty light with yeasty notes, light fruit, and a little bit of hop
Appearance: This one pours into the glass a clear gold color with a small-to-medium white head
Flavor: Tastes fairly light as well, not off, just dull, with some light sweetness, and a hint of bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, but the drinkability is pretty decent, and it has an alright finish as well
Overall Impression:
The bartender who seemed to think of himself as the bar’s beer expert described this one as "a better Heineken" in what I could only guess was an attempt to sell me on trying it. I wish I was kidding, but I’m not, and I certainly don’t blame him, as he would have had no way of knowing I actually like good beer not Heineken. So anyway, we were not off to a good start there, but I figured I’d judge it for myself. He really wasn’t too wrong. This beer was fine, with no major flaws (unlike Heineken), but it was kind of boring too
