Bottle: Pours hazy, light yellow-gold with a tall, white head. Skunked, green glass scent, over grain malt.... Sour sharp grain...lemon/lime flavor..... Actually pretty clean and crisp once you get past the aroma.....

From a funny shaped green bottle with a date code 87:39..B26. When I popped the lid it gushed all over the place, never expected that for apilsner. Pour looks like lemon ade, hazy. And there is this big head that never fades bt just goes craggy. Is a little veggie on the aroma, but mostly sterile metal. Taste is not bad, fairly laid back attitude on the alky but there is still enough bitterness inthere to let you know it is pilsner. Yes, every pour is this giant head and I must say, it is pretty attractive looking. Relaxed and gentleman like on the taste buds, almost comes across like a slightly bitter hefe. As the session continues there is this constantly building pilsner attitude that grows right up to the finish. Good overall beer rating experience, not bad and better than the average beer.

Location: 330 ml bottle at NY Terps Event, 6/7/12, as Neumarkter Lammsbräu Organic Pilsner

Aroma: The nose is pretty light with yeasty notes, light fruit, and a little bit of hop
Appearance: This one pours into the glass a clear gold color with a small-to-medium white head
Flavor: Tastes fairly light as well, not off, just dull, with some light sweetness, and a hint of bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, but the drinkability is pretty decent, and it has an alright finish as well
Overall Impression: The bartender who seemed to think of himself as the bar’s beer expert described this one as "a better Heineken" in what I could only guess was an attempt to sell me on trying it. I wish I was kidding, but I’m not, and I certainly don’t blame him, as he would have had no way of knowing I actually like good beer not Heineken. So anyway, we were not off to a good start there, but I figured I’d judge it for myself. He really wasn’t too wrong. This beer was fine, with no major flaws (unlike Heineken), but it was kind of boring too

11.2oz bottle in a shaker. Pours transparent golden with a thick, lacy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted light malts, a little bit of nuts and caramel, and some light hops. Flavor about the same. A little light. Nothing that special, but it’s cool that it’s organic.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden color with a fairly thick white head on it. Nose is nicely present, with a lot of stronger corn elements and just a bit of grains in there. Taste is actually a little bitter, which was a nice surprise, with a nice crisp bite to it. Actually pretty decent.

Malty aroma with hop notes. Golden color, creamy head with good lace. Flavor is malty and very grainy. Spicy hop notes and a light bitter aftertaste. More malt than hop flavor, but really good.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - grainy and sweetish aroma, light herbal - vegetable hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, faint herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish, light herbal - vegetable hoppyness. Sweetish and grainy pils with notes of vegetables. Really nothing special.

12oz Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Rob. I feel a little on the fence about rating this beer in this condition, but if someone is going to pay money for a beer that a store let sit on the shelf this long, that a distribution didn’t call back, that a brewery released in a green bottle and shipped over seas, I think they deserve to know that what I drank was skunked worse than warm Rolling Rock. Aroma is a complete skunk. Flavors are washed out and rubbery. Clean finish, but light struck.

Bottle at home. Pour is clear golden in appearance with a big frothy white head and great lacing. Straw, grassy, somewhat chalky, minerals, a light hint of fruit, biscuit, and corn in the aroma. Taste is semi-sweet, yet easy drinking - light dough, corn, straw, grassy/earthy hops, hay, and somewaht floral with a light bitter bite on the backend. Light body with high carbonation. No real flaws and very clean tasting. Decent Pils.
