It is a tasty, somewhat sweeter dunkelweizen. It has some banana and clove as well.

500ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Cloudy hazy blackish brown colour with dirt-like yeast sediments; Two finger head with crumpety light-beige foam which lasts for about 2 minutes; Small sticky lacing and active carbonation; Very fragment aroma of banana, caramel, vanilla, cloves, light malt, and pineapple; Very light sweet taste of thin malt, with light banana, roast nuts, creamed coffee, light dark chocolate, light cloves, spices, light citrus and faint grass; Mid to light body, slick and creamy palate; Mouth feel is thick and creamy, quite unusual for a dunkelweiss. Roastiness and nuttiness are prominent, with some coffee and chocolaty notes makes it pretty rich and savory. Yummy! Tartness is light for a weiss but dynamically expressed; Hoppiness is hint of grassy nose, critusy taste. Bitterness is very low but contribute a lasting taste, along with smoke and cream for a nice finish; Slightly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: A really tasty organic wheat beer. Evertything you want for a dunkelweiss is here - good head, nice body, crisp taste, with smokiness and unexpected creaminess, coffee / chocolaty taste being the most impressive. A keeper!

Pours cloudy dark amber with a large beige head. Smells of caramel, banana, and clove. Taste is spicy from the cloves, and sweet and fruity. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and fizzy mouth-carbonation, Neumarkter Lammsbräu Schwarze Dunkles Hefeweizen finishes with a hint of sweet spice.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown with a great tan head. Aroma of banana bread and a bit of cloves. At first this tastes of banana, too, then comes some caramel and a very long finish of bitter chocolate. There are also some roasted notes and a fruity acid. Very fizzy carbonation. Great stuff.

500ml bottle from Landmanns Market in Gräfelfing. Pours a hazed dark brown colored body with a nice amber glow. Finger-width, creamy and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is a bit sweet with a nice caramel and banana note. A nice wheat backing with some yeast, touches of roasted grains, and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is similar. Somewhat sweet with a nice, smooth caramel and banana. Hints of chocolate giving this an almost chocolate covered banana flavor. Some yeast, wheat, and a touch of roast towards the end. Finishes clean, lightly dry, and a bit sweet. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a somewhat lively, moderate carbonation. Overall, I was a fan of this one. Very clean and a touch sweet from the banana, but the slight roast and chocolate note makes this very enjoyable. Good beer.

Pretty darn good dunkelweizen, dark brown/black in color. thin beige head. Roast grains come through in aroma and taste. Nice mellow bitterness and smoky esters. Tasty!

(bottle) pours a murky deep ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of toffee, brown sugar and butter, very sweet, with notes of banana and light earth. flavour is mostly the same, much too sweet, with heavy notes of toffee and toasted wheat. medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Test vom 21.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,10,8,8,10 - 9,35

they don’t promise too much on the label: it really has a wonderful aroma of caramel mixed with banana and melona. dark brown appearance with big white head. nice taste with a full "woody" body and long finish. highly recommended.
