50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a huge slight off-white head. Mild mouldy and malty aroma. Light spiced and malty flavour. Medium dry and with a light earthy touch. Slight spiced. Slowly building bitterness into the finish. Smooth and nice.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2008 [bottle]
Very aromatic balance of fresh German hops and crisp almost caramely malt. Nearly cleary tawny yellow with a thin cover that laces the glass nicely. Amazing amount of flavour for such a light-ish appearing beer: powerful yet almost crisp malt with caramel notes that may be diacetyl but go very well in this beer, supported by a nice dose of floral and almost herbal hops. Some subtle notes of peach and celery. Medium to light body, generous carbonation, crisp but not light.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
The bottle looks really bio-like. The first gulp of the beer is the best, than it turns worse. In the end every gulp is a torture. Much too intense and grassy. Not a good beer.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are grain and metal with lots of floral notes. Flavours are buttery malts with grain. Metallic notes with earthy fruitiness. Quite gritty and dry on the finish. OK.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle picked up at Centra, Majorstuen, Oslo. Organic beer that got a malt-grainy smell. Nice clear amber body under a dense, white head, long-lived. Rounded flavour of grain and fresh bread with a caramel support. Clean tasting. Medium palate (16.07.2007).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 4.7%. Aroma of brick dust. Hazy amber colour, stable head. The flavour is quite nice, good maltiness in combination with a nice sweet hoppiness. The finish is a little watery, though. But quite nice still.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light golden colored with a slight haze. Tiny white head, leaving a ring sticking to the glass. Not very aromatic, but both dry malts and floral/herbal hops are present. Quite sweet-flavored. A bit bready and grainy. Low hopbitterness, (as expceted for the style). Medium body, sweetish finish. Tasty, but not a top end Dortmunder.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, deep golden with a small, off-white head. Malty aroma with some overripe fruit. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, sweetish malt and some overripe - almost sherry-like - fruit. Possibly a bit too old but it certainly has aged gracefully. 020107

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle, from Beers of Europe, consumed August 2006. Hazy amber colour. Very malty aroma with touches of wet paper betraying some oxidation. Soft and bready flavour with rather low hop presence. Not great.
