COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle: Bubbly, cloudy brown-orange with a small, off-white head. Caramel, dry grass/hay scent. Taste is slightly dusty, creamy caramel.... stale bread notes. OK.

Hazy pale brown color. Thin head. Grassy aroma. Dry tasting. Medium bodied. Not bad but not great either

Aurelius (4524) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 8, 2014
New Leaf Market. 500 mL europint, sad sack snowman on the label. Almost clear maple gold; fluffy, short white head. Sweet, bocky-malty aroma with some dark syrup. Sweetish, modestly bittered, rather bland. Watery mouthfeel, loses effervescence. Starchy, straw finish with some dark syrup tones. This came off as dilute marzen or bock. Disappointing.

500 ml bottle. Pours amber with tall, long lasting, foamy, white head and soda like carbonation. Nose is of stale bread and grassy hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of grassy hops, bready malt and grain. Finish is medium, semi-dry. At least I did not pay for this.

500ml bottle. Unfiltered orange-brown body. Creamy, steady off-white head. Not so impressive caramel aroma. A real easy going beer...I certainly wouldn’t designated this as a Marzen, maybe just as much a Heller Bock or somewhere between. A touch of vanilla, cream. Unique and tasty.

PorterPounder (5871) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 500 ml bottle - hazy medium orange pour, sticky snow white head, decent lacing. Aroma is that of ripening vegetables, a touch of brown sugar. Flavor is blandish and tastes gluten-free like (i.e. lacking any real substantive flavor - but it is surprisingly not). Pick up some light brown sugar notes, some ripening vegetables, a touch of molasses. Mouthfeel thick enough and not starch and some organics tend to be,
