3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark orange colored with hazy appearance, little yellow head. Interesting aroma with grains, appricot, rich fruity-chocolaty touch, some burnt touch here as well with even some berries. Complex, but not all clean. Medium bodied. Flavor is overly sweet as well with dark sugar, grains, lemon and yeast here, aftertaste is sweet as well. Too sweet.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It needed a short fight to get the silly plastic stop from the bottle. Pale amber color, chunks of yeast. Oak, dust and dried apricot in the aroma. Full bodied. Thick and sweet fluid. Malty flavor with toffee, dried apricot, cream sherry, oak and grassy hops.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #2500, bottle 75cl #2847.
A cloudy copper amber beer with medium creamy head. Nose is intense on barley sugar, apricot and peach liquor, alcohol notes. Aroma is very sweet, deep and liquorous, barley sugar touch, very fruity on apple and apricot, bit extremely sweet, burnt cherries touch, wood notes ? (has this being kept in wood kettle). Finish is again very sweet and apricot like, hops is just lightly peppery . Anyway less complex than expected.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
0.75 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Hazy amber color. Very sweet and thick aroma with pale bread, strawberry jam, raisins, caramel, toffee and ginger. Sweet syrupy taste with caramel, strawberry jam, raisins, toffee and clove. Too syrypy, very slow to drink even in small quantities.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Belgian style from a German brauerei? This bottle was purchased as a special offering form my local Edeka market, in a 750ml bottle with plastic resealable cork, and numbered for a limited edition. This bottle was listed as Nr. 2608, not sure of the total run (10,000?). Definitely different from anything I’ve tasted from a German brewery, but true to the Belgian/French Cru style. According to the label, they claim to use Trappist yeast (in english, no less?). Initial taste is sour, but warms to the taste buds after sitting and sipping. The high alcohol content isn’t apparent at first, but slowly makes itself apparent. Pours a very murky copper, reminiscent of apple cider, short head and lightly carbonated. If you like this style, here is a fine example from a German brewer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hefig-alkoholischer, zudem süßer Beginn. Zuckrig, zu jung wirkend, später runder, die Hefigkeit bringt sich dann besser ein. Noch OK aber zu zuckrig. 6/8/7/7/7/8

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
75 cl bottle @ Timo A. No. 2442. BBE 23.12.2015.
Pours hazy copper colour with small head. Aroma of apricot, candy sugar, wheat notes, herbs, ripe fruits and mild spice notes. Flavour of apricot, mild rhubarb, sweet sugar, distant banana notes and caramel malts. Quite sweet and tacky palate. Way too sweet to be pleasant, might have ageing potential.

750 ml bottle. No. 2442. BBE 23.12.2015.
Pours a hazy orange colour with a small head. Aroma of apricot, pumpkin and some sweet orange notes. Flavour of caramel, ripe apricot, some sweet berries, raisins and yeast. Medium bodied, quite sticky mouthfeel and a warming, fruity and sweet finish. Alcohol comes through in the end nicely. Needs aging.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75 cl bottle vintage 2010 Nr. 2442, BBE 23.12.2015
Aroma is rather malty and feels a lot like a good doppelbock. Also some grain, hay and hints of apricot. Flavour is rather sweet with much malt, ripe fruits (apricot) and some solvent-like alcohol that does not disturb much. Rather leathery finish. Becomes more sticky towards the end of the glass. Interesting brew where belgian ale meets german doppelbock.
By the way, this had interesting plastic cork. Opening it was rather a ceremony.
