copper hue with beige head, it has subdued aroma of caramel, medium bodied with the flavor being caramel with a hint of nutty aftertaste.

deep dark brown, can not even really see through it...Nice, good beige head, good roasted malts, sweet , creamy, some decent hops not overbearing though.

Brown colour, thin whispy lacing. Strong malty caramel aroma. Flavor is a little too malty, with not enough balance, and the finish is almost sour at times which is weird. The flavour still wasn’t bad, atleast it was interesting. The palat was a little thin and watery, but didn’t completely suck.

341ml bottle, courtesy VeloVampire - pours dark brown with a decent caramel head. Looks malty and that’s a good thing. What the hell though?! Maybe this bottle/batch was off because it seriously smelled like creamed corn, just as the previous reviewer noted. Very uninviting, with all the good malty, nutty notes buried underneath a funk of corn. The flavour was good, with lots of malt, and less of the cornyness (excuse me) but it’s still there and it’s too hard to get past the scent and how much it put me off. I had a hard time finishing this bottle. Either they changed the recipe for the worse or something has been wrong lately, because the early reviews make no mention of the corn thing, while the last few do. Neustadt, if you are listening, fix this! Blech! UPDATE - Neustadt, obviously concerned with these reviews and the "corn" issue, very kindly contacted me and delivered proper bottles of 10w30 (as well as all the other beers in the Neustadt line). Now that’s taking care of your customers! In this new bottle, the corn taste is entirely gone, and the nutty, chocolately flavours of a brown ale are right at the foreground in both the aroma and flavour. Very nice stuff, and my rating now reflects the proper brew and not the funky one. Excellent treatment from brewery...my hat is off to them.

Re-rate: Light in scent, still a bit creamy and corn-like. Not AS off as the last samples I tried. Deep brown in colour, lacing head. Malty and sweet. Smooth but a bit thin. Bitter aftertaste.

Small to little yellowish head over dark-chestnut beer. Sweet, aromatic nose with soft cake, some chocolate, (soft) touch of hops all the same, dark (but sweet) malts. Soft chocolate cake - again. Despite the near-absence of head, it feels very carbonated, on the verge of adding acidity to the beer. Sweet, but nowhere cloying; just a tad cola-like. Thanks to the malts, not light bodied; silky texture but heavily carbonated. There’s little more to expect from a brown ale. Thanks, Steve!

Bottle @ Doug’s. Thanks to Slacks. Medium brown, thin white head. Nose is buttery caramel, malt. Somewhat like a sharp brown ale, some dusty malt. bitter finish. "This is getting weird" sez MDS.
