Mandrake (14) - Chester, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 30, 2013

Classic mild profile, maybe a bit grainy. Rye and coffee on the palate, mouthfeel a bit thin. I’m a sucker for a good old mild though.

Gethinbeer (1836) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 1, 2013

Mahogany colour with a very thin dissipating lacw. Almost non-existent aroma. Thin texture. A little plastic feel. Malty brew. A little weak, and a little odd.

Cask at C’est What. Deep amber pour. Tight off white head atop. Aroma is lovely - earthy/toasty UK malts over some spicy UK hops. Appropriately crackery with a lovely bitterness on the finish. A little bit of orange fruitiness that I quite enjoy as well. Top notch pint of bitter.
