On tap at Imbibe. I had initially thought that this was actually supposed to be a beer with saurkraut infused into it, but reading the description now makes things a hell of a lot more clear to me. I had wondered where the hell the saurkraut was, and why the beer was sort of fruity. It’s like they took a decent light lager and decided it was too boring so they added something bizarre to it to make it more interesting. It has this weird vaseline-handcream feel and flavour to it that was very off-putting. I had to have to pints of the next beer I tried in order to get this bizarre flavour out of my mouth. It wasn’t unpleasant but I really wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, ever.

It’s been a while since I had something this out of wacky. I guess I’ve been spoiled recently. Pours hazy piss yellow with a few white bubbles. Aroma of tin can and raspberry with some serious rust. Tastes sour and astringent without any good balance. Tall can at Victory Cafe.

This ale poured a slightly cloudy, light amber colour with a big, bright white, foamy head. Very light lacing. To the nose there are scents of club soda, fruit juice, salt, candy and baking soda. First sip was very thin with strong fruit juice flavours along with PEZ candy and club soda. Finish is sour nd lightly bitter with the sweet andy flavours lingering.

Clear pinkish amber with very little head. Aroma is raspberries mainly. No real malt in the flavour - mostly just raspberry and sourness. I don’t generally care much for sour beers, but I like this.500 mL can from the brewery.

Can courtesy of toffsbury. Aroma of sweet malt and raspberry. Mostly clear amber, no head. Wheaty bready taste, moving to a sour raspberry taste, with a very dry finish. Sourness is nice without being overpowering. Not bad.

August 27, 2011 - on draught at The 2011 Golden Tap Awards @ BeerBistro. Very pale, but clear and refractive peach-tinged yellow with a minimal frothy white head. Smells like a very weak cherry popsicle, extremely sweet, fake fruit flavouring - not sour at all. The taste is Freshie with some throat-burning acidity, no alcohol, some paper. Thin, watery, weakly carbonated, quick finish, light acidity in the weird sugary aftertaste - nah.

On tap at the Only. Pours a clear orange with modest-sized. Tart, fresh raspberry aroma. Flavour is also dominated by slightly sour raspberries with a little wheat. Light-medium body. Pleasant.

Bullocks, this is a fruit beer. Pale hazy blond with touch of pink. Small white head. Aroma and taste of berry, tart and extremely balanced. Ripe raspberry sweetness balances firm European noble hops. VERY good flavor!

On tap at The Rebel House - arrived a slightly hazy rosey hue with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt mixed with tart raspberries and a soft, earthy quality. Mild sourness in the flavour is backed by good amounts of malt and a very low hop rate. Not mouth-puckeringly sour, and just dry enough to be incredibly moreish. Lighter ABV (4%, not sure why it’s listed at 5.7% on here) makes this an extremely quaffable summer brew.
