2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. A medium strong malty smell, light sour. The small light brown creamy head disappears fast. The body is black. A light bitter taste, a little bit malty. The finish is light smoky. A creamy-dry texture, medium body with rather soft carbonation. A good beer.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle courtesy of ogivlado who brought it from Wien and shared it with heavy and me (thanks!).
Poured an extremely dark brown body with a big, very thick off white head. Dry malti nose, popcorn. Extremely simple taste, carrot juice all the way with a touch of vitamins. Not offensive but blah.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Well, since I have turned 50 and then some and like beer, it is natural to try to combine interests! So I opened an Anti Aging beer, hoping for miracles.... The head disappears very quickly on this almost black schwartzbier. The aroma is malty in a "hvidtøl" kind of way and it has notes of berries. The mouth feeling is rather smooth and the flavour has notes of berries (raspberry among others), a bit of licorice and some other notes, that is hard to pinpoint. But I do know the aroma of spirulina, and I think I can recognize it in the taste. It’s a mild and delicious beer with an sufficient bitter finish - and I guess it takes more than one to get results in the anti-aging front....

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle @ YNWA. Pours a very deep red with a fine creamy off white head. Aroma has fruit, weak berries and roasted malts. Watery palate. Quite sweet and rather dull flavours of smoky and roasted malts as a well as a butt-load of Belgian sugars. Far too sweet flavour really lets down a nice look.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Midium high creamy, quickly disappearing off-white head. Clear very dark red, almost black, body. Strange mix of berries, caramel and hops in the aroma. First impression of flavor: Sour dry malt. Second thought: Pleasant smooth and non-offfending (read: boring). Still 4.8% pretty impressive. Low carbonation. Long berries aftertaste.
