yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a golden red glare and a creamy tan head. Mild roasted malt aroma - slight towards breadish. Flavour is breadish, mild roasted and with a dry raising like flavour. Medium dry. Mild bitterness and light spiced into the finish. A bit flat in flavour. Bov (4744), Bienne, Switzerland Mar 30, 2008 very dark brown colour with a ruby hue, no foam left, toasted chocolaty aroma with notes of vanilla; medium-bodied, fresh and lively palate, some sweetness and a moderately long toasty caramelish and chocolaty aftertaste Maria (4743), Thisted, Denmark Dec 16, 2007 Well, since I have turned 50 and then some and like beer, it is natural to try to combine interests! So I opened an Anti Aging beer, hoping for miracles.... The head disappears very quickly on this almost black schwartzbier. The aroma is malty in a "hvidtøl" kind of way and it has notes of berries. The mouth feeling is rather smooth and the flavour has notes of berries (raspberry among others), a bit of licorice and some other notes, that is hard to pinpoint. But I do know the aroma of spirulina, and I think I can recognize it in the taste. It’s a mild and delicious beer with an sufficient bitter finish - and I guess it takes more than one to get results in the anti-aging front.... BeerBiker (1219), Odense, Denmark Sep 14, 2007 [Sampled in 2005.] Beautiful darkcreamy look in an almost black atmosphere. Notes of some smoke, typical schwarzbierflavor, fruit, caramel and wateryness. An okay beer!
