Bottle. Dark brown, some head which does not last that long. Quite balanced taste, good.

Bottle from Alko. Dark brown color, beige head. Roasty taste with chocolate, nuts, coffee and malts. Roasty finish with raisins. Very nice schwarzbier.

From old backlog. Pitch black colour with huge head. Aroma sweet, caramel. Flavour is bread, bit roasted.

500ml bottle. Clear dark brown with huge, firm, frothy, beige head. Decent herbal, grassy hop aroma, some dark malty undertones. Taste is minimally tart dark malty, other notes like grain and chocolate remain in statu nascendi, minimally herbal, almost soapy hop finish.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, modest roasty, some fruity hints. More and more malty-earthy, some dry notes. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Good schwarzbier!

Poured a dark brown with a thin brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and hops.

0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Dark reddish brown. Sweet bready aroma with toffee and dark bread crust. Sweetish taste of dark bread with raisins and toffee. Not bad, lots of dark bread.

Big beige head. Clear deep brownish red body with carbonation. Roasty earthy strawy aroma with milky chocolatey smoky notes. Dry-sweetish earthy roasty taste with milky peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish roasty sugary metallic aftertaste with strawy peppery. Nice, drinkable, some off flavours. (0.5l bottle, Alko Arkadia, Helsinki.)

Bottle by 01.11.12, for drinking, I guess, no word on the bathing expiry. Sweet grainy nose, very light roast and nuts and the sweetness seems a little artificial. A beautiful dark brown in the glass with a large, tan, rocky foam mattress of a head. Sweet taste turning semi-dry, with ash, light chocolate and coffee, maybe some caramel-butterscotch. Rye and caraway in the aftertaste. Smooth medium-light body. Really not that bad, but like most from Neuzeller, gets old after a few ounces. Did add the majority to a hot bath. The verdict? I don’t think I’ve bathed in bathwater of that color brown before, the referent is a classic ‘morning after pee’, a dark yellow in which you can see various greens and browns.

Pours dark red, almost black with small blond head. Aroma is ashtray, rye and malts. Flavor is dry. Some malts, bread and hint of sugar.
