Bottle. Dark, reddish-brown color, lasting tan head. Roasted malt aroma with some nuts. Taste follows the aroma with some chocolate and a fairly dry finish. Medium-full body, medium-high carbonation. Good pairing for bratwurst and bacon.

500ml bottle. Clear dark brown with huge, firm, frothy, beige head. Decent herbal, grassy hop aroma, some dark malty undertones. Taste is minimally tart dark malty, other notes like grain and chocolate remain in statu nascendi, minimally herbal, almost soapy hop finish.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, modest roasty, some fruity hints. More and more malty-earthy, some dry notes. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Good schwarzbier!

Big beige head. Clear deep brownish red body with carbonation. Roasty earthy strawy aroma with milky chocolatey smoky notes. Dry-sweetish earthy roasty taste with milky peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish roasty sugary metallic aftertaste with strawy peppery. Nice, drinkable, some off flavours. (0.5l bottle, Alko Arkadia, Helsinki.)
