Apr 3, 2004 Updated: Feb 7, 2005The aroma is that of a low-alcohol beer (even though this is not) - it is sour hoppy. The color is red and it has a small head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel. All in all a boring beer.

Jul 18, 2005 Updated: Oct 14, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) Funnily enough, this shouldn’t be called a beer, because it has added sugar and therefore breaks the aged "Reinheitsgebot". But this is of course a Schwarzbier with added sugar which gives it a flavor strongly reminding me of a Danish "hvidtøl". But only not quite as sweet and with a more distinct hoppy bitterness. Almost black beer with a nice light brown head. Quite unusual type for Germany. 261103

Sep 21, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hus and a lacing head. Sweet and slight roasted aroma. Very sweet sugarish, much like a danish hvidtoel. Ends malty sweet. Nice.

Aroma of malts, butter and smoke with roasted notes.
Sweet flavour with notes of smoke and some roasted notes.
Too sweet for my liking.
