Helles goldenes Bier mit wenig Schaum. Geruch süß, malzig, seltsame Aromen (Spargel?). So schmeckt das Bier auch, nicht besonders!

yngwie (13127) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 28, 2014
Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma actually has aspargus, with pale malts and a faint fruity touch. Pale malts, grainy notes and some fruityness in the flavor, the asparagus not as present as in the aroma. Medium body and a pleasant carbonation level. Mostly bitter finish. Well, interesting to some extent, but not very good. 140228

courtesy of Thomas and Philipp - clear golden beer without foam; effectively: asparagus ! oily and medium-bodied, dry and astringent; long aftertaste of asparagus - stop this joke ! infamous

Well, actually, really, I wouldn’t have thought that there really is asparagus IN the beer, I thought that it is a beer to accompany the asparagus meal (like there is a Bishops finger in the same named beer of Shepheard Neame, pah....). Well, to start with - the beer pours out in a clear light golden colour with low steady head a medium body. Nose of hops and citrus. Taste of mild hops, citrus, hay and well... asparagus. Hints of asparagus soup. Special yes, but just nothing that nice to drink.
