From the archives: I love the idea of covering the cap with paper. It just makes your beer more outstanding. This on is an average pale lager, with nothing additional to describe. Not a bad one and not the best one. Readily available on every corner in Russia.

Euro Market, Queens 50cl ($1.25): Pours gold with barely any head. Aroma is awful corn and poop. Taste is sweet garbage. This beer is straight too sweet. It should suck less. Bud is better than this. By that, I mean that this is rubbish, awful sweet rubbish.

Clear light golden color with small head. Aroma is grassy, malty. Flavour is malt, bitter, some hops. Taste like a german pilsner.

larsga (6260) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2012
Medium shiny white head. Clear yellow body with strong carbonation. Mealy apple aroma with papery notes. Sweet-dryish mealy apple taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Very light, mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish apple aftertaste with mealy herbal spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, not too much character, but not a bad beer, either. Certainly well above average for Russia. (0.5l bottle, street kiosk, Moscow.)

I had this after a DIPA so take this review for what it is worth. Smells vaguely malty, tastes like paper and slight noble hops. a stereotypical easter euro lager.

Leighton (11641) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2012
Bottle shared with Elena on Martha’s Vineyard. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine, white foam head. Big doughy cereal nose with nips of cardboard. Medium sweet flavor, some sugary cereal, very light straw bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly crisp finish, dominant cereal character, but with a bit of unappealing cardboard. OK.
