One of the decent pale lagers in SPB. Hoppy, soft, gentle and refreshing. Not as bad as it sounds. More balanced when compared to its partners. You can have a second can of this brew without disappointments.

Test vom 24.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,8,8,9,7 - 7,80

A fine clear crisp beer perfect after a long walk in the cold Moscow. The light tan siggests it will be good in summer too.

50cl can. Poured dark golden with a thin head. Grassy aroma. Flavor the same, grassy, slightly sweet malty. Nothing special, drinkable.

Bronze color, with small white head. Aroma, malts with toffee hints. Taste, again toffee, with hints of malt, bittersweet finish.

500ml bottle. Bright amber in colour, very clear and bright. Virtually no head, only a minimal scraping of bubbles. Malt and grain aromas familiar to the pale lager family. Surprisingly tasty given the look and aroma, maybe it’s the big alcohol kick.

Big offwhite coarseish shiny head doesn’t last. Yellow body. Sugary malty fruity aroma is heavy and graceless. Dryish mealy alcoholic straw taste is fairly harsh. Harsh, dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry mealy herbal gasoline with grassy notes. It’s drinkable, but definitely not a good beer. (0.5l can, grocery store, St. Petersburg.)

500ml can (St. Petersburg) - gift from Serge at work - thanks!
Pale gold, scummy head. Definitely a thin aroma. Thin palate too, carbonation low. Malt body just present enough to restrain the 5.7%, but heading towards an ESL. Hops quite papery, and a touch metallic. Malt and hops conspire to present a touch of almond nuttiness, which is probably the highlight of the taste. Finish is back to the metallic hops again. Fortunately devoid of nastiness, but I suspect that at 5.7% this drink is mostly used to get drunk without trying to appear like a 40oz malt liquor drinker.
