Excessive hopping rendered moot a modest plan to brew a seasonal winter warmer, and since the original batch was brewed on Election Day, 2002, Elector continued to make democracy pointless and redefine the Imperial Red category.

English & American malts; Cascade & Galena hops; London yeast. Dry-hopped. O.G. 1072

Growler acquired in trade with Sephiroth (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, green leaf hopiness, fruity and some caramel. I got some ice tea in there as well. Tastes were fruity with caramel, and some citrus. Light on the hopdog bitterness scale. Thinner body.

Draft from Sportstime Pizza. Filtered and honey amber hued. Layer of off-white head. Bright and crisp. Total floral soapy hop flavors. Total hop bomb. Citrus notes. Dry yet sweet palate. Spicy with a rolling hop profile.

Draught. Pours bright reddish copper with thin whitish head. The aroma is biscuits and mild hops. The flavor is biscuit, ambient bitterness, some cedar, and a sweet finish. Interesting concept.

Draft. Poured and amber/brown with little head. Nice citrus tones in the nose. The flavor is a good balance of hops with a touch of malt to even things out. Not overly hoppy, but nice and refreshing.

Draft. Cloudy, apple cider pour with no head. The nose is light and juicy, noting apple and cherry. The body presents a moderate bitterness and a fresh hop slickness. Juicy mouthfeel is the result of the fresh hops. Slightly buttery malt backbone keeps things together and bring in creamy caramel notes to balance the hops. Good stuff that went great with pizza.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy light brown colored fine to medium sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent copper brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was mild with a malt hop red note to it and the mouth feel was initially mild with a tingle that strengthened in the finish. The flavor was smooth in character with a red malt flavor.
