COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Excessive hopping rendered moot a modest plan to brew a seasonal winter warmer, and since the original batch was brewed on Election Day, 2002, Elector continued to make democracy pointless and redefine the Imperial Red category.

English & American malts; Cascade & Galena hops; London yeast. Dry-hopped. O.G. 1072

Quickly fading caramel aroma, with a touch of hops. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a thin off-white head. Interesting interplay between the hops and the malts. Thereís some bitterness there, as well as a strange astringency. A bit of roasted flavor comes out in the finish. Much thinner body then the usual imperial reds. An interesting beer, not sure if Iíll get it again.

Bomber. Pours a deep red with a cream head. Thin lacing. Aroma is nearly all cereal. Taste is hugely malty, lots of cereal with a slight hop bite. Not my style.

On tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2013. Clear amber color. Good big khaki head. Good lace. Medium / bigger body. More dry. Smooth texture. Kind of spicy hops. Not as red as most "red IPAs" though. Bitter taste. Interesting bready spicy malt profile. Solid stuff

Bottle split with Devin at Erawan. Pours a deep murky reddish brown with thick beige head and lacing. Nose is sweet caramel, bready yeast, mild citrus. Taste is similar, mild hop bitterness, not a ton of hop flavor. Mostly toffee and bread.

Deep red, and a big frothy head. Bonus appearance point for the cool label. Lots of caramel and toffee in the aroma. Lots of caramel and toffee in the flavor, as well. I get some woody, hoppy flavors in the finish. Thanks to queenholly for the trade!

Clear medium amber with a small rocky ivory head and drapes of lace. Taste is bittersweet caramel malt that expands through the palate and moves to a satisfying light bitter at the finish. A little heavy, but very drinkable. Trcommended.
