3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ryanfolty (598) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Tap at Scottys Jan 17, 2012. Clear golden pour with nice head and thick lacing. Aroma was citrus and spice. Taste was similar to aroma but balanced nicely with malt. Very tasty DIPA that finishes smooth and mild bitter.

Pours very gold with a thick fluffy white cap. Nose is a little pine, some passion fruit, slight pineapple with some grain. Taste is quite bitter, not much sweet. Palate is medium bodied, fairly carbonated with a dry, bitter finish. I was pretty happy with this. Easy drinking, yet plenty of character. I’d like a little more aromatics I guess, but otherwise, good stuff. Indiana is stepping up.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hollardustin (193) - Indiana, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Pours light amber with thin white head that dissipates immediately. Aroma is caramel, cotton candy, and some citrus/floral hops. Taste is sweet, caramel, some hops, and moderate bitterness on the finish. Very underwhelming double ipa.

Bottle…This beer rocks!… Pours hazy amber with an orange tint and a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Fantastic, creamy retention. The aroma offers tons of tropical fruit nectar flanked by tea biscuit and peach. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and zippy carbonation. The flavor leans way fruity and bitter, but also hearty and malty. Finishes bitter… yep, just bitter. Muchos gracias to StFun for shipping this world class brew to me!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cbfobes (1011) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Poured from 22oz bomber, pours a clear golden/amber with a decent white head, the aroma was kind of dull with a little bit of hops on the nose, the flavor really didn’t blow me away either, very malty with a finish of slight fruit and hops, kind of a metallic finish as well, I wonder if this is an old bottle or something.

On draft from brewery. Full aroma with notes of grapefruit and citrus, pretty hoppy but malty enough to balance the bitterness. The finish was hoppy and slight hints of resin. Mouthfeel is medium with lively carbonation. Overall a very good imperial IPA. I will say that having had more than 6 separate batches of this, it varies quite a bit from batch to batch.

Bottle courtesy of shrubber85. Copper pour. Citrus hops with a hint of grapefruit. Biscuit and cracker malt backbone with citrus hop bitterness, lemon and grapefruit essence. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Could have used a bit more hops in all aspects, but especially the aroma.
