On tap in an English pint at the Back Door lounge. Poured dark amber with very little head. For the style, this beer lacked the huge hop aroma one would expect. The flavor was not as hoppy as one would think either. I think the keg was really old or something, so I need to try this beer again.

tap at Indiana winterfest - The aroma is full of citrus hops and earthy accents. The flavor is well hopped too, but also seems almost sugary. It’s sweet for a DIPA. That works alright though and the complex hop characteristics come through well.

On tap at the 2010 Microfest in St. Louis. Pours a clear bright amber with a robust off white head. Aroma is pine cones. Taste is asweet malt, brown sugar and pine/grapefruit. Also pretty damn hoppy with noticable alcohol.

On tap at Rich O’s. Pours red with a small head. Not much aroma considering the style. Berries, brown sugar and a mild wooden bitterness are noted. The palate is a little sticky. My first impression of the flavor is how sweet it is. It’s downright sticky like glazed cake. Hops are not all that defined. Some wood, berries, dessert sweetness make up the flavor. This is like a well hopped English styled barleywine.

nice growler brought up from Indian. golden amber hue, lotsa foam although poured rather vigorisly nice lacing. nose has lotsa pine and some citrus fruit, with some caremel malt sweetness as well. flavor is a hops tap dance not overdone very balanced and interesting like an english IPA but with more kick

On draught at Brugge Brasserie. This brew is a clear dark amber color with a thin and rocky off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops and citrus along with a touch of honey. Rich body with a strong hops character that has floral and citrus notes. Balancing sweet malt and honey in the background. The finish is moderately bitter hops with an herbal and malt finish. Solid all around.

Wow, a hop varity dancing on my palate. It almost has the quality of an english ipa, but that cascade jumps up and bites you. Very unique. Worth trying, not my favorite but still very good.

Pours light amber with an off white head. Aroma is earthy hops with a little bit of citrus. Flavor is a blend of earthy, spicy, and citrusy hops and a little bit of light and caramel malt. Pretty good, but not as good as other batches I have had, seems to differ from batch to batch, as is expected from a new brewing plant and the fact they just started distributing recently.
