Clear-bodied, deep, bold orange in color with a bright white head. The aroma is really wacky. Itís sweet and sticky, but not because of the hops. Itís residual sugars... and somehow, without crystal sugars. Something about this smells like a vegetable or root of some sort. Beets? No! Radishes! Weird, but good. In the mouth itís incredibly unique. Iím not sure what hops were used, but this is really distinctive. Nice, and I would never guess this has such a high level of IBUs. Iím doubting itís actually that high. Eh... I had higher expectations.

Bomber. Maltier than I expected. Nothing that stood out as memorable. Fairly carbonated though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

glennmastrange (2205) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of roasted and caramel, light orange and dough for the yeast, with a hint of date in the background. Head is large, creamy turning rocky, slightly off-white with excellent lacing and good legs and is mostly lasting. Color is crystal clear dark amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, a bit syrupy and has a soft carbonation and a moderately astringent finish. A little more malt dominant than most DIPAs and it lacks balance in the flavor. Twas a little disappointing.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2013 These New Albanian bombers just recently started showing up in Florida. An amber pour generating a thin white head that leaves spotty lacing. The scent is very malty; lots of caramel and dough and really no sign of hops. Sweet and malty flavor, but fortunately, thereís more hop presence in here than what was picked up in the aroma. Based on that, I was preparing for a malt bomb. The hops are orangey and a bit resinous. The finish is dry with some sharp bitterness. Pretty easy going down, with hardly any alcohol burn. Lacks substance. A touch too sweet but overall fairly balanced. This probably wonít be too memorable but it was decent enough.

Bottle (bomber) at Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Tulip. Pours an amber-orange pour with medium white head. Thick lacing. Aroma is odd. Sort of a muddy malt smell with possibly basil or wood. Taste is pretty heavy malts, caramel. wood, slight floral hops and yeasts. High alcohol is masked well through balancing. Bitter finish. Overall I like it.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with white head. Nose and taste of basil, caramel candy, resin, citrus peel medicine and cherry throat lozenges. Medium body.

Draft at brewhouse. Hazy golden pour with white head. Spice and citrus hops aromas. Light citrus almost pinesol flavors, sweet meals. Flavors seem of to me.

bomber. copper pour with a thin off white and frothy retention. aroma is butterscotch, sweet candied malts, plum. tastes are pine, overly spicy, earthy, alcohol, soap... I wonder if this has gone bad. got it at fermentation bottle shop, so decent chance - everything is dusty there. anyway - didnít like. 5.8

Basil/citrus aroma. Flavor has an ample medium to high bitterness, but it jsut sucks, soy sauce, metal, and caramel. Shit.
