On tap at brewpub
My first tap was this sessionable stout. New Albanian doesn’t often stumble and this is no exception. If you are looking for a toned down version of Thunderfoot that doesn’t fatigue the palate here is your pour. I don’t know how long it will last but if you are anywhere nearby stop in.
Aroma / Appearance - The inky black base swirls like watery ink around the glass. The generous pour left little room for a head. Oatmeal cookies, burnt toast, and a trace of sweetness accent a light but well put together nose.
Flavor / Palate - Fluid and refreshing the mouthfeel opens up the palate. Oatmeal, raisins, bitter malts, and a refreshing aftertaste play together to create a memorable experience. Not so heavy it wears down the palate the result is a good session beer for the money. I’d drink a few of these if there weren’t 12 other compelling options available.
