On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet malt, and a touch of roast. Flavor of roast, light smoke, smoky meats, wood, charred malt, chocolate, roasted malt, and sweet bready malts in the finish. Very tasty and complex. Palate is light despite the 8.5% abv. Great beer! 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

Bomber thanks to queenholly, pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head and a ruby hue. Aroma of chocolate, slight coffee, dark fruits, and grains. Taste similar to aroma starting sweet and ending with a faint bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden, not bad.
