4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber courtesy of queenholly. Thanks! Pours near pitch black with a medium sized dark brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa, smoke, soy, sunflower, very mild dark fruits. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, wood, nutty notes, cocoa, bitter hops. Full bodied, chewy, well balanced. Very nice stout.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a like a black sludge syrup.
Lots of tart cherries and licorice in the nose.
Cherry doesnít come through as much in the flavor, although my friend said the previous bottles he has had, had more cherry character in them. Cherry did come out a little bit more once it reached room temperature. Finishes dry adn roasty.
Mouthfeel was a touch thin and the carbonation levels were medium-high for the style.
Solid beer by an in-state brewery. Iím not sure the cherries really did much to add to this outside of the aroma. Still decent complexity and itís uniqueness is a plus.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly. Thick oil color with thin tan head. Nose is great licorice, deep roasted chocolate malt, burnt coffee beans and ash. At the first sip a got a strong hop bitterness that reminds me of Cascade which was a big surprised since this has been cellared for at least 6 months. The bitterness is a nice way to cut all the roasted notes. Palate is thick and full with a chalky/ burnt ash texture. I donít get any cherry or fruit but it is totally fine. I donít know how old the bottle is but I enjoy it for what is in the glass in front of me. And to be able to still taste the hops is impressive.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated on 5-27-2013 (Bottle) This beer pours a medium smooth tan head that had a good retention span, opaque body, fair amount of lacing, and a dark brown hue. The Aroma is malty, burnt, roasty, alcohol, hints of coffee, hops, tart, and cherries. The Taste is lightly bitter, malty, roasty, burnt, coffee, mildly hoppy, and alcohol. The Palate is smooth, dry and this is a light-medium bodied Imperial Stout. Overall, this beer is very quaffable, has a lingering roasty aftertaste, is a sipping beer at 11%ABV, and worth trying. I would recommend this beer to those who like this beer style.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, thanks to RobertDale. Dark brown, nearly black in color. Lively brown head dissapates at a moderate pace... I find the aroma overly sweet; molasses, dark fruit, and anise. Reminds me of Bells 9k, but less cloying. Roast and smoke in the taste, really a campfire type flavor. Light oak and a little more molasses. Misses the mark for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 ounce bottle, not sure if this is a new or an old bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours very dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head. Head retention is good, and thereís a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like dark fruit (cherries, plums), molasses, roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and some coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like dark fruit, roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, malted milk balls, molasses, and a bit of anise and burnt/charred malt. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit coating with moderate carbonation. I think itís a good enough brew.
