Commercial Description:
A darker version of an American IPA. Deep amber in color, generous hops in aroma and taste; rich, malty finish with moderate hop presence. A very unique brew.

tap: very dark, good head, sweet malt aroma with a touch of hops that get stronger as it warms, sweet carmel flavor with a touch of toasted malt, very much like a scotish ale, medium body, clean sweet aftertaste btl: very dark amber, almost black, lasting thin tan head leaving behind a whispy lace, light hop aroma on top of a roasted malt base, hop flavor followed by strong chocolate malt, then a lingering roasted malt finish

Very interesting brew, the first time I have had this type of darker pale ale, didn’t keep that great of a head out of the bottle, black color, floral hoppy aroma, a mixed type of taste between malty & hoppy, a malt type of aftertaste, didn’t have the punch that IPA’s usually carry, but a nice mix of a darker style of beer with a pale ale

A unique style of ale. They refer to it on their packaging as an IDA. Dark, malty, rich with a slighty less hop presence than a typical IPA.
