jeffc666 (1820), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Feb 2, 2004 So, should the fact that no one has rated this beer since 9/03 worry me? Or maybe that the rating previous to that was in 5/03? Regardless here goes… Murky orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is almost non-existent. Flavor is flat semi-sweet Karo syrup. There are no hops to be found. This is not a good beer. Is this brewery is still in business? Next please. guzzler67 (1125), Hanover, Maryland, USA Sep 18, 2003 Medium copper color with some turbidity. Fruity, floral aroma. Tasty roasted malt flavor with a bit of sweetness. Hops become more pronounced as it warms, but not to the extent of many American style IPA's. Smooth, malty finish. MilkmanDan (1936), Eagan, Minnesota, USA May 23, 2003 Clear gold with a slightly grayish sticky head. Not much nose, but what's there has toffee notes. The description of the beer mentions Centennial and Cascade hops; don't get them at all. Very much a British-style IPA, with a toffee-butterscotch character. Finishes slightly sweet, which accents the toffee nicely. Pretty good stuff. ravidesai (916), Bombay, India May 12, 2003 copper color with a eggshell head, nice blends of sweet malt and floral hop gives this a honey character. argo0 (6019), Washington DC, USA Oct 11, 2002 Nice orange body with a medium eggshell-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Floral aroma with some honey, relatively restrained. Flavor is tame, definitely not an American-styled IPA. The sweet maltiness is more noticeable than the hops. But the hops are there, floral and slightly citrusy. Slight bitter aftertaste. Good solid body, slightly chewy.
