COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I.P.A.’s complex hoppy finish is the traditional style of British ales specially brewed for the long passage to India. Top-fermented and dry-hopped, this I.P.A is brewed with Centennial hops, Cascade hops, Two-row Roasted Barley malt and Special Roasted malt.

Nice orange body with a medium eggshell-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Floral aroma with some honey, relatively restrained. Flavor is tame, definitely not an American-styled IPA. The sweet maltiness is more noticeable than the hops. But the hops are there, floral and slightly citrusy. Slight bitter aftertaste. Good solid body, slightly chewy.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells of citrus and caramel with some earthiness. Tastes earthy with some tea hints and a hint of spice on the finish.

Looks can be deceiving. Very nice dark amber pour. Nose is floral. Taste is very watered down dry hops. Rated 11/15/2000

Crisp, assertive, and fizzy. Sweet tasting, yet somewhat bland. Hops were hardly noticeable. Does not exemplify the style very well.

I’m with Aubrey - they’ve used the term IPA loosely for this one, but I’m not complaining. This was an interesting and complex beer. It had a big malt presence, with toffee and caramel flavors. Only moderately bitter, but with some interesting hop flavors: spicy, citrusy, and floral.

So, should the fact that no one has rated this beer since 9/03 worry me? Or maybe that the rating previous to that was in 5/03? Regardless here goes… Murky orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is almost non-existent. Flavor is flat semi-sweet Karo syrup. There are no hops to be found. This is not a good beer. Is this brewery is still in business? Next please.

Clear gold with a slightly grayish sticky head. Not much nose, but what's there has toffee notes. The description of the beer mentions Centennial and Cascade hops; don't get them at all. Very much a British-style IPA, with a toffee-butterscotch character. Finishes slightly sweet, which accents the toffee nicely. Pretty good stuff.
