the term IPA loosely for this one,
but I’m not complaining. This was
an interesting and complex beer. It
had a big malt presence, with toffee
and caramel flavors. Only moderately bitter,
but with some interesting hop flavors: spicy,
citrusy, and floral.

Oct 12, 2001 I suppose an English style IPA since the hop profile was a bit restrained. A very good beer overall, however. Silky smooth going down; biscuit-like malty flavor; finishes with a crisp, subtle citrus hop flavor. Another strong New Amsterdam brew!

Sep 18, 2003 Medium copper color with some turbidity. Fruity, floral aroma. Tasty roasted malt flavor with a bit of sweetness. Hops become more pronounced as it warms, but not to the extent of many American style IPA's. Smooth, malty finish.
