PhillyBeer2112 (1842), Orange Park, Florida, USA Sep 19, 2000 I’m with Aubrey - they’ve used
the term IPA loosely for this one,
but I’m not complaining. This was
an interesting and complex beer. It
had a big malt presence, with toffee
and caramel flavors. Only moderately bitter,
but with some interesting hop flavors: spicy,
citrusy, and floral. Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Oct 2, 2000 copper colour, nice foam, honey aroma, sweet and simple flavor mike mcneil (638), St Augustine, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2001 I suppose an English style IPA since the hop profile was a bit restrained. A very good beer overall, however. Silky smooth going down; biscuit-like malty flavor; finishes with a crisp, subtle citrus hop flavor. Another strong New Amsterdam brew! guzzler67 (1140), Hanover, Maryland, USA Sep 18, 2003 Medium copper color with some turbidity. Fruity, floral aroma. Tasty roasted malt flavor with a bit of sweetness. Hops become more pronounced as it warms, but not to the extent of many American style IPA's. Smooth, malty finish. karl (160), Glendale, New York, USA Nov 18, 2000
