Taste is creamy, chocolaty, and quite nice. Some dark dried fruit on the front as well. On tap at Pour 24 at NY NY in Vegas. Pours a clear coppery brown with a thin beige head. Caramel, roast, light malt. Medium body, good carb. Nice malt and caramel notes. Finishes a little quick, zesty from carbs, and with a subtle and balanced bitter.
Rustyham (545), miami, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2009 Earthy and with tons of Licorice- this is deliscious. Grainy with touches of coffee. Smoky and sweet. I would buy plenty of these if they sold them down here. Bottle from a freind. petematte46 (213), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 26, 2009 Bottle, Aroma of dark malts, bittersweet chocolate. Taste is chocolate, with a light sweetness, some coffee maybe a bit of smoke. Palate is a bit light, but tastes good. Not a bad one. DJMonarch (6058), Northwich, Cheshire, England Aug 21, 2009 On Tap at the Cheeky Monk Belgian Beer Cafe, Denver 09/10/2008
Fruit and roast aromas. Small white head. Black smooth and a little rich on the palate. Crisp and slightly dry coffee roast finish. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2009 Bomber into a pint glass. Refreshing and very drinkable, but not reminiscent of the Belgian roots they describe on the bottle. howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA Aug 17, 2009 Comparable to Sprecher Black Bavarian lager, with a bit of tart fruit in the nose. Slick medium palate and easy, clean finish. Nice easy drinker with lots of flavor.
