Two fingers of tan head. Dark brown body, almost black.
Smell is a strong roasted malt. Nice.
Tasty with roasted malt balanced with a mild bitterness. The malt comes through nicely.
Smooth texture with a light to medium body and moderate carbonation.
Pretty good Black Ale. Great balance of roasted malt and bitterness.

Deep brown pour, tan head, a bit of lacing. Nose is dark malts, shadow of dried fruit. Leaning sweet, but earthy. Middle shows smooth dark malt, hint of coco, some spice lurking. Medium bodied. Finish dries somewhat, leaving the earthy/coco flavor in command. Good.

This was a good beer it was smooth and allowed me to enjoy the beer without all the hops that tend to overpower. I like to drink multiples of this beer.

I think my first black lager I ever had. Kinda blew my mind a little bit. Very delicious beverage, light with just the right amount of dark malts to make it interesting.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into a shaker pint. Pours an attractive off-white one-finger head with moderate retention and lacing. Dark-brown to black and nearly opaque. Nose is milk chocolate and malt. Medium bodied and creamy. Really well done body. Taste is a little roasty, some chocolate, a light candy sweetness. Very little bitterness. A hint of dryness. Well balanced. A very drinkable beer.

Dragged this back with me from Las Vegas. 12oz bottle, enjoy by 07jun15. Pours coffee black with a beige head that falls quickly. Aroma is dark dried fruits, caramel and chocolate. Flavor follows... raisin, date, caramel and chocolate. Mild carbonation and a hint of mineral in the finish makes this just shy of cloying.
