Pours a slightly hazy brownish orange with a one and a half finger, creamy light beige head. Aroma actually has a little unsweetened cocoa in it, as well as some figs and prunes, raisins. There is also a fair amount of Belgian yeastiness and candy sugar. Some ripe bananas too. Flavor is a little more tart than the aroma leads on--otherwise, the taste follows the aroma. Has a dusty dry finish. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation--a little sharper than what I wanted--and not quite as creamy as the Chimay red label. Nice lacing. Quite tasty.
Old rating follows.12oz. bottle, best before05May06. Aroma of bubblegum/bananas and yeast. pours a clear amber with mod sized, mostly diminishing head. For only 7% ABV, I get some alcohol, and tastes how it smells--also some earthy hay and some sweetness. Well balanced, leaning a little to the malty side. 6-3-7-3-15 barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 7, 2005 Bubblegum esters dominate the sweet, rich, bready, malty aroma with some herbal notes also apparent. Clear, deep copper-brown with decent, fine bubbled, fizzy tan head that diminishes immediately to a partial cover and ring. Bubblegum esters are strong in the sweet malty flavour with some earthy, grassy notes and some banana also apparent. Medium-full body with pointy, fizzy carbonation that is somewhat distracting. Snifter. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB 7-Jul-06, Liquor Mart, CO, Oct-05). mreeves (257), Sammamish, Washington, USA
