This is what New Belgium should stick to rather than the mediocre pilsner and wit that I had last week. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 28, 2004 The Abbey from New Belgium is much better at achieving the Belgian style than their Fat Tire. Very nice fruity aroma and flavor derived from the Belgian yeast strains. Nice body, good balance of malt and hops, and bit of spice. verymerrymonk (255), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 26, 2004 Dark mahogany body with a fluffy white head. Smells like a package of sweet-tarts. Flavor is slightly sweet, with light fruits and a mild dry finish. Nothing special, or even too interesting for that matter, about this at all. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA Dec 25, 2004 Nice dark brown with a bit of head and lacing. Aroma is typical of a Belgian, with a sharp bite to the aftertaste. Many fruit undertones.
