Bottle. Lightly fruity, musty earthy aroma with hints of roasted malt. Dark copper brown with a medium head. Lively carbonation. Flavors are well balanced. Slight sweetness evolving to bitter dry finish. Alcohol is not evident. Very drinkable Belgian.

Medium amber and slightly hazy - a few floaties and a thin bubblly head. Nice fruity character with notes of pine, caramel and yeast. Finish is clean and crisp.

This beer is very well done thought its style is all its own..not quiet a dubbel but close. Aromas of aromatic malt and belgian yeast but no too fruity. Esters are restrained but the yeast comes though well. This beer is all about balance and elegance. Very smooth and became a bit creamy when it warmed up a bit. Lacks a bit of the complexity in some of the best true belgian abbeys. None the less better than alot of the belgian examples iv had. Probably fresher and less oxidized than shit thats been across the pond. Recomended!

Pours rich clear amber with lots of carbonation and a nice sized tan head. The aroma has earthiness, bread, rich musty caramel and some dark fruits. Medium body, actually quite light for the style, with some soft carbonation. Starts with somewhat astringent dark fruits with some earthy traits. There is also some caramel adn moderate sweetness. The finish adds a little sharpness and breadiness. The beer gets creamier as it warms up. This is an okay beer, but not to be confused with a actually Belgium dubbel.

Beautiful dark red color. Thick, off-white head. Fruity, banana flavor, but not too sweet. Strong carbonation. A great beer.

Bottle; Nose of caramel. cloves, and sweet spices. Light brown with a big beige head. Sweet, spicy flavor with hints of fruit and alcohol, a little bit of tartness creeps in at times.

Bottle: Poured a darker than expected brown/amber color with a nice head. Aroma is yeast and fruit, very true to the style. Taste is a well balanced fruity, nutty, malty, and spicey blend. Complex, yet smooth.

12 oz bottle-trade w/after4ever. Poured a dark brown color w/a moderate tan foamy head & good lacing. Nutty, roasted, grassy, Belguim aroma. Sweet, fresh, crisp, nutty flavor with a lot of carbination, reminds you a little of a brown ale. Definite classic Belgium flavor. Long finish-very refreshing. Another good brew from New Belgium.
