This beer is a nice change from the ov er hoped DIPAs and Barley Wines that I enjoy. It’s also a nice change from the super malty Stouts and Double Bocks that Iove. Anyways this is how I break this beer down. The aroma is sweet and alcoholic. The malt provides a sweetness b ut not overly so. Hops are just their to provide balance against the malt, nothing more. The yeast strain gives this beer a spicey taste. This is one of my favorite beers that I’ve been enjoying for as many years as I’ve been able to purchase it here in this Bible Belt midwestern town. I hpe to be enjoying this beer for as long as I am able to enjoy beer.

I think the party hosts bought a Folly pack. I was lucky enough to snag this from it. Pours an amber hue with white head. The Belgian yeast is evident in its spicy nose. Flavor is a dry, earthy, sweetness. Lively. Bottle - Niece’s Birthday Party

Chewy, bready, velvety. This New Belgium offering taste like bananas foster, complete with bubbly caramel. Sweet but not enough to truck you over, there’s also some zing in there to keep you on your toes. Fleeting notes of baking chocolate are also evident. Pretty decent.

Pours a medium brown into a goblet. Thin fizzy beige head that disappears quickly. Yeasty aroma with some fruit. Thin sweet macro mouth feel. the alcohol is very noticeable especially towards the end as the beer warms. Finishes bland. Not sure why this beer is rated so high.

Tap at CK thanks to craftycarl21! Clear, deep red pour. Huge, tan head. Ridiculous lacing. Dunkelweizen style banana split dessert nose, chocolate drizzle. Taste is denser, nice black cherry. Finishes papery, cardboard. Lots of banana. Not sure if this really goes under Abbey Dubbel.

Bottle. Pours unimpressive brown. Taste is ok but not much to write home about. Other’s from New Belgium were better.
