Thanks lb4lb. Dark burgundy color with a tiny white head. Aroma is lots of banana with a touch of smoke. Taste is a little watery but again the banana, some candi sugar and a touch of smoke in the finish. Roastiness and a bit of chocolate come out as it warms. Slightly sweet and fruity with roasted malts hiding in the background and banana throughout. Not bad at all but just thin for the style.

Jul 7, 2008 The beer pours red amber with an organy white head. The is yeast, malt and light notes of burnt sugar. The taste lacks depth but has richness; I get lots of sweet caramel, yeast light citrus and spice. The finish is nice and dry. My favorite beer buy NB so far.

does not count  Jul 6, 2008 Large white, open head sits atop a deep, rich brown and red liquid. Alcohol, malt and mincemeat aroma. Nice effervescent finish with malt, yeast and bitter fruit overtones.. Nice brew from a 12 oz boittle\!

Jul 4, 2008 Nice dark brown colour, large creamy head. A complex aroma of fruit and nuts. Wonderful malty flavour, with a little added spice I can’t quite place. Overall a well done double.

Dark brown pour with fruit nose. Quality beer at a bargain price. Sweet (candi) and fruity with hints of belgian yeast running through the palette. Will buy again.

Jun 21, 2008 Dark caramel body with nice frothy white head. The aroma is really fruity. Raisins there certainly. Flavor has a nice sweet malt character to it with a nice doughy touch and quite yeasty. Very nice beer. But definitely better Dubbel’s.
