The aroma is sweet yeasty and malty with slight notes of burnt malt. The flavor is sweet malty with quite a lot of caramel and yeast, combined with lighter spicy notes. The alcohol burns slightly in the throat, and mixes with a dry spicy end. Papsoe (14840), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Dark chestnut color; big creamy head. Delicate aroma of caramel and roasted malt, perfumy, elegant. Medium body strength; the flavor is too much monodimensional for my liking: caramel only. Professionally brewed, with a good choice of yeast. argo0 (6883), Washington DC, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 5, 2002 Updated: Jul 28, 2003(7/28/02): Clear copper with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, light coriander. Taste is much the same, finishing with a light alcohol burn. Medium full body. My description doesn't do it justice, but this is a very well-balanced and appealing beer. (4/5/02): Big head atop a clear red-brown body, with a sweet aroma. The flavor isn't as sweet, but it's light and the foaminess on the tongue dissolves into warm bliss. Fruity, light malty. A bit of bitterness as it goes down the throat, but not much. As it warmed up, the aftertaste turned slightly metallic. (8/4/8/4/15)
